Rebecca Jankowski, MD, CWSP joined NTVC in March 2022. Originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico she was a pharmacist for almost 10 years prior to matriculationg to medical school. She trained as a general surgeon practicing for almost 10 years before transitioning to wound care and hyperbaric medicine in 2014 becasue she felt it was yet another way to have a positive impact in people’s lives.

Healing is her favorite part of working with patients, and she believes that by educating them on the cause of their problem(s) they can better sever as a part of the solution becasue she believes her patients are more willing to be active participants in their care once they understand the problem(s). Her ultimate goal in treating patients is to treat the whole patient. This involves helping them understand what got them to where they are now, what obstacles they must overcome, and what resources they have available to them.

In her free time, Dr. Jankowski enjoys spending time with her dogs (her and her husband currently have TEN!), cooking, knitting, playing the piano, and spending time with her husband.
